Floral Keepsake Necklace: A Personalized Polymer Clay Gift

A softly rounded clay bar, a favorite word, and a tiny floral detail make a personal handmade gift. This version uses polymer clay, so it does not need a pottery kiln.

Six-step floral keepsake necklace guide with stamped names and botanical details

Supplies

Ivory polymer clay, roller, letter stamps, needle tool, floral paper napkin, decoupage medium, gold acrylic paint, jump rings, chain, and jewelry pliers.

Step by step

  1. Condition the clay, roll evenly, and cut a small bar with softly rounded corners.
  2. Stamp a name or word and make a hole near each end for the jump rings.
  3. Bake the clay alone according to its package directions. Cool completely.
  4. Separate the printed napkin layer and adhere a small floral piece at one end using decoupage medium.
  5. Fill the stamped letters with gold paint. Let dry, then seal the paper with decoupage medium and follow its drying directions.
  6. Once fully dry, attach jump rings and chain. Package with a handwritten note.

Keep the finished necklace dry and handle gently. Add paper and chain only after the clay is baked and cooled. Try mama, love, or a short name.
